I didn't realise how many varieties of goldenrod existed in Ontario, until I did some research. So I'm not going to attempt to properly identify these specimens. This site, Ontario Wildflowers, is a starting point for understanding all the different types.

The one below attracted me because of the way the flowers just line up along the single stem. But my guess is that this is just a weaker specimen of the same classic large clumpy goldenrod which grows not too far away.
