In July 2017, after a spring of major flooding, we had a 4 in rainfall in our area. Several local beaver dams failed and North Otter Lake rose to 57 in above its normal summer level. We found this green frog enjoying life in the water on top of our deck.

We found this chap hanging around in our mint patch, and in no rush to leave. About 4 in long.

I came across this specimen in the middle of the road one afternoon at the very end of October. The previous day there had been two inches of snow. It appeared almost black; I think it is a green frog and the colour relates to the time of year. Or perhaps that it was on asphalt?
