We always have a couple of these around Otter Point. The black form are the norm, but we see the occasional grey one. In suburban Pointe-Claire we mainly see the grey form.
The white morph of the grey squirrel is quite rare, but somewhat more common in urban areas where the predators are less important. See this info.
During courting the grey and black morphs seem to regard each other as the same species.
