They are often reviled around the world for their ability to colonise urban open spaces. But here we normally get just a few. In mating season they are noisy, flying around and paddling around in pairs, like these two below.

This appeared like a couple of parents running a crèche, looking after a several families of goslings.

Probably Canada goose eggs, found abandoned on a minimal nest a couple of feet away from the lake. They stayed for several days before being eaten.
