With an early morning start in the skiff we saw many birds, and pink river dolphins on the Yarapa River. We stopped mid-river to visit a fisherman who was taking his live catch of 5000 catfish to market in Iquitos. We visited a very small distillery at Grau where we went from squeezing the sugar cane to sampling the distilled rum.
Later we took the skiff to visit Yucuruchi, a small jungle settlement, and saw a family of Nancy Ma's night monkeys and the giant Victoria water lilies.
